Bjorn & Jenny’s Elopement Story in Byron Bay – Just the Two of Them

Beach Elopement Byron Bay

Bjorn and Jenny, both from Germany, decided to do something beautifully bold—fly across the world to elope in Australia. They did their elopement in Byron Bay, just the two of them, along with their witness, they said “I do” in a heartfelt and intimate ceremony that marked not just the start of their marriage, but also their honeymoon adventure.

The word elopement traditionally means to run away and get married—and that’s exactly what they did. No big guest list, no fuss—just a celebration of love in its purest form.

They wanted their wedding day captured in a way that felt real and unfiltered. Their dream was to get married barefoot, and they did, feeling the sand in their feet at the beautiful Wategos Beach in Byron Bay. We kept things natural, relaxed, and organic—just how they envisioned it. Their love for spontaneity and raw emotion made film photography a perfect match, and alongside digital, their day was documented with all the beautiful imperfection and magic that film brings.

A simple, soulful day filled with love, adventure, and the courage to do things their own way.

It truly fills my heart capturing such a special time for people like them, we all had so much fun and the joy and happiness they felt was really contagious.

I hope you enjoy reading this love story.

If you would like me to capture yours simply reach out and we will make it happen.

With Love,

Marina
